“In business for 10 years, World Trade 24 is a distributor and retailer of branded watches in Poland which owns 50 shops. Four years ago, we launched two watch brands. This is my third time visiting the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair. I am particularly looking for wooden watches which are fashionable items in the Polish market. I have found two to three potential OEM suppliers which have incorporated the features of smart watches into wooden watches. Currently, smart wooden watches represent 50% of our sales turnover. I have also visited three existing suppliers to see their new designs and compare them with the potential suppliers. I plan to buy 10,000 pieces through the fair. I think the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair is the best place for me to look for different suppliers and competitive prices.

This is my third time here to look for Swiss brands, designer brands and smart watches. I have found a potential supplier of smart watches from Shenzhen and I already bought three samples for men, women and children. I plan to buy RMB200,000 worth of smart watches from this new supplier because their watches are fashionable. In addition, I am interested in three brands including Giorgio Fedon 1919, Tylor and Zorbello offered by a Hong Kong company and I’ll contact their distributor in Mainland China to explore cooperation opportunities. I am also interested in a Danish watch brand – Obaku. I like this fair very much because there are many new brands and new business opportunities for me to explore.

“Founded in 2010, our company started out as a smartphone manufacturer, but we shifted to the production of smart watches in 2014. This is the second year that we are exhibiting at the Salon de TE. In view of favourable business results at last year’s show, we have doubled our exhibition area from two standard booths to four standard booths this year. Our smart watches come with health monitoring features such as measuring heart rate, blood pressure, ECG and body temperature, They are fashionable yet affordable. At this year’s show, we have met with new buyers from Iran, Malaysia, the UAE and Vietnam. Buyers are more interested in our smart watches which look more like traditional watches. About two to three buyers have expressed their intention to buy our smart watches. Each order size is 1,000-2,000 pieces.”

“Three years ago, we created our wooden watch brand – D.W.Y.T (Do Waste Your Time) which is designed to remind people to enjoy their time with family members and friends. Currently, 350 stores in Europe are selling our D.W.Y.T. watches. Our wooden watches come with a natural and warm feeling and interchangeable straps. Each watch looks very unique because the wood used has different texture. We are exhibiting at the Salon de TE for the first time because we are keen to look for business partners, distributors and retailers in Asia. Due to its favourable geographical location, Hong Kong is a perfect place for us to find distributors from Mainland China and also from this region. We have got in touch with potential distributors from Asia, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. A buyer from Japan is very likely to become our distributor. We are satisfied with the show’s results so far.
