 “Superlegal operates 34 toy stores in Brazil and will open six more stores this year. We are selling toys for babies, kids and teenagers. I have been visiting the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair since 2001, but this is my first time representing Superlegal to visit the fair. I like the fair because I can find a wide range of products. At the fair, I am looking for baby toys and accessories, sports items and electric cars. Up till now, I have found at least 10 potential suppliers for different items such as spy and science toys, electric cars, rollers and skates and plan to buy from them this year or next year. Definitely, I’ll buy US$50,000 worth of spy and science toys from a Hong Kong supplier soon.”

 “Texas Toy Distribution is a distributor of construction sets, building sets and educational toys in the US. This is our first time visiting the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair. We are looking for unique and high-quality products and we are keen to establish long-term relationships with new suppliers. Through the HKTDC’s Business Matching service, we have found two potential suppliers from Germany and Hong Kong for the supply of construction sets and educational toys. We’ll consider buying US$45,000 worth of products from each supplier. We are also interested in metal DIY models offered by four suppliers. We’ll keep in touch with them.”

 “The VR industry has been developing rapidly over the past few years, but there is a lack of properly curated VR content. In view of the increased demand for VR content from different sectors such as the toy industry, educational institutions and government organisations, Dpot was established by a Korean film and TV company in 2016 to focus on developing education-related VR content. We have our first exhibition at the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair because we want to promote our Tube Reality brand and introduce our new video which uses education-related VR content to teach children to respect living things. We have got in touch with buyers from Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mainland China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and the UK who are very interested in our VR content development service. Some buyers have given us their new ideas for the development of VR educational games. Responses from customers have been very encouraging.”

 “Established in 1991, GBG invents, designs, produces and distributes educational toys and games, mostly aimed at children aged 3-12. Launched in 2007, our BrainBox brand has 50 products which are sold in 64 countries and regions and available in 28 languages now. Up till now, eight million units have been sold. We have been participating in the Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair for the 11th consecutive year because we are able to find two to three new distributors through the fair every year. The Hong Kong fair is one of the biggest toy fairs in the world with buyers coming from everywhere. At this year’s fair, we have met with new buyers from many places such as Africa, Australia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, South Africa and Southeast Asia. Buyers like our educational toys because children can learn with fun.”

 “Marvoto is participating in the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair for the first time to promote its portable fetus camera M1. The innovative device with ultrasound scanner enables pregnant women to take 2D or 3D pictures of their fetus anytime anywhere. The response has been very positive. We’ve met with many buyers from different places such as Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Russia and Ecuador. We are looking for distributors in different markets and are positive about entering business cooperation soon with the partners in Asia.  “Based in southern Poland, Camarelo specialises in the production of baby strollers. Major markets include Poland, Russia, Ukraine and Europe. We are visiting the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair for the first time to find new suppliers and manufacturers who can produce strollers according to our design requirements. We are now negotiating with the Taiwanese supplier Sparkle Kids Co Ltd for baby strollers. Our management will look into the details before striking deals. Initial order is expected to involve one container with 500-800 strollers worth about US$50,000. We’ve also found a Mainland Chinese supplier for strollers and car seats. Further discussions will be held to conclude orders. This is a great fair where we can meet a large number of suppliers from different places. There is a strong mix of products available at different price ranges. I really like the fair, a perfect place to find reliable partners.”

 “In business for seven years, Elevenia is one of the biggest online marketplaces in Indonesia offering a comprehensive range of products. Top-selling items are fashion and beauty products. Baby items currently represent a small portion of our business but are growing fast. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair. It’s an exciting exhibition. I’ve already got in touch with three new suppliers from Korea for outdoor socks for babies, playmats and baby teethers. The Korean suppliers are offering flexibility in MOQ, making it easier to conclude business with them. I have a sourcing budget of about US$20,000 to US$30,000 for various items this time. In Indonesia, consumers favour branded baby items while European and Korean brands are especially in demand. This is an interesting fair with a diverse range of baby products on offer. I’d love to visit the fair again.”

 “Based in Osaka, Ouji Sekken provides a variety of products for the health and wellness of babies including wet wipes, liquid detergent, baby cooling gel sheet and kids’ laundry capsules. All products are made in Japan and we focus on export sales. Hong Kong and Mainland China are among the target markets. We’ve already launched sales in Hong Kong. By participating in the Hong Kong Baby Products Fair for the first time, we are trying to find partners and distributors. Some 50 buyers have approached us to explore collaboration and express interest in our products. They come from different places such as Mainland China, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and India. We’ve also got in touch with several customers from the US and Europe. The initial response is quite encouraging. Ouji is a new brand and this fair is the right place to meet buyers to raise our profile.”
