 “We operate 30 supermarkets in Indonesia and will open three more supermarkets this year. Renovations are now being carried out on two supermarkets, so we have come here to look for linear lights, pendant lights, spotlights and track lights. We have found two potential suppliers from Hong Kong and Mainland China. We like the Hong Kong supplier more because this company has rich experience in dealing with Indonesian customers and providing new designs to meet the needs of customers. We are waiting for the two potential suppliers to provide quotations and then choose the right supplier. We’ll buy 2,000 pieces from the new supplier for the two renovated supermarkets. If the products are very good, we’ll buy more for the three new supermarkets to be open this year. We like the Spring Lighting Fair because the suppliers here can provide good quality.”

 “Our company is an agent of Philips and GE bulbs in Taiwan and handles project designs for hotels and shopping malls. This is my fourth time visiting the Spring Lighting Fair. It provides an ideal platform for me to look for new products and to exchange product information with exhibitors. At this year’s fair, I am very interested in a track light brand from Mainland China. Negotiations with the brand owner will continue as our company wants to be their agent. In addition, I have found three potential suppliers of smart lighting control systems. I am also happy to see that the Innobuild zone has been set up at the fair for the first time because the construction and lighting sectors are interconnected. I have exchanged ideas on technology with a potential supplier of display control systems in the new zone and plan to buy US$300,000-500,000 from this supplier. I hope that the Innobuild zone will be expanded next year.”

 “Keio has 36 years of experience in providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering services. To diversify our business, we acquired the exclusive distributorship for powerglass® in Hong Kong and Macau last October. Invented by a German company, powerglass® combines a thin film of embedded LEDs and ITO laminated glasses to create a mysterious yet luxurious atmosphere by floating light in the air. We have our first-ever exhibition in the new Innobuild zone to let more people in the construction and lighting sectors know powerglass®. It has aroused strong interest from buyers including those from Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Macau, Mexico and the US. We have talked to two potential buyers from casinos in Macau. Due to favourable responses, we have decided to return to the fair next year and want to have a bigger booth so as to create a greater impact.”

 “As a subsidiary of Moso Power Supply Technology Co Ltd, Shenzhen Moso Electronics Technology Co., Ltd engages in the research, development, production and sales of LED drivers. We offer a comprehensive range of LED drivers which have passed many international quality certifications. We sell 70% of our LED drivers in our domestic market and the remaining 30% to overseas markets. Our main goal for this year is to expand our overseas markets. As Hong Kong is an important distribution centre for the lighting industry, we have set up a large booth at the Spring Lighting Fair to promote our Moso brand and to develop new markets such as North America. According to the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao innovation and technology corridor will be built and I think this will enhance cooperation and interactions among these cities.”
