“Established in 2015, the Moscow-based Ecobureau Greens is a consultancy firm offering a range of eco-solutions to office spaces for various sectors from technology companies to manufacturers. The year 2018 was a turning point for companies in Russia. Previously, going green was just a fashion in the commercial and industrial sectors. However, after the introduction of a new regulation by Russian government last year, it becomes a must for all local companies to transform their business environment into green spaces, fueling a huge demand for green applications nationwide. This has been my first-time visit to Eco Expo Asia where I have spotted a slew of new products and solutions fitting the needs of our clients. Through the HKTDC-arranged business matching meetings, I have found an innovative and highly energy-efficient window screen that can reflect sun rays while keeping indoors cooler in summer. It is now on our buying list. I am also interested in a protective helmet that offers better heat protection for workers in the field. The puzzle-like cardboard displays for interior decors and exhibitions are also very impressive. All these products are provided by Hong Kong exhibitors. At the expo, Hong Kong companies demonstrate their strength in innovation. Everyone here, from the host, exhibitors to visitors, has a futuristic mindset. Hong Kong is a truly international city and the expo is a truly international event where I met with exhibitors from Austria, Canada and other western countries.”
Yulia Bereznikova, Project Manager, Ecobureau Greens, Moscow |
“Headquartered in Gansu, our company is engaged in waste water management business in North-western region of Mainland China. This is the first time I visit the Eco Expo Asia which is a mind-blowing event offering a comprehensive programme of activities. Its on-site business matching service aligns with our needs. Say, some sets of patented breakthrough technology for waste water and waste gas treatment developed by a Hong Kong supplier are highly efficient. I was also impressed with the waterproof solution and waste water treatment equipment from a Canadian exhibitor. Both of them are our potential partners. I also strolled around the fairground to collect some updates from the European booths and noted that the EU will ban throw-away plastics to limit ocean pollution by 2021.The expo is indeed a great event for me to stay tuned with the industry trends and development. On the second day, I will join the seminars themed on the circular economy and water treatment innovation at the Eco Asia Conference for more up-to-the minute information. In the face of recent global challenges and social circumstances, Eco Expo Asia opened successfully and we should give a nod to Hong Kong as the famous eventful city and the expo's organiser.”

“Founded in 1980 and listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2014, Baguio Green Group is committed to championing a ‘Clean & Green’ environment for society and offers a spectrum of services ranging from integrated environmental services, professional cleaning, integrated pest management, horticulture & landscaping to waste collection & recycling. Eco Expo Asia has been enabling us to reach prospective partners directly since we first joined the fair in 2016. Face-to-face negotiation is always preferred, and we take this opportunity to introduce our business development with exhibits at the fairground. Known for its quality in the international mix of buyers, the expo has been a highly effective event for our company to build connections, conduct preliminary business matching and tip up potential partnerships with overseas buyers representing big corporations from Germany, Switzerland, Taiwan and some South East Asian countries. They do leverage this centralised platform to identify key players in local market and explore business opportunities with them. In the 2019 edition, our theme ‘Citywide Recycling for Sustainability’ echoes with the expo's theme ‘Less Carbon, Less Waste • Green Innovation’. On the inaugural day, we have been pretty busy to interact with some local financial media which came in the morning to cover our latest business development. Then, the HKTDC-organised VIP tour visited our booth for networking. The expo is an incredible channel for us to increase our exposure.”
Phyllis Ng, Chief Executive Officer, Baguio Green Group Limited, Hong Kong (Booth: 3-E22) |
“Set up three years ago, Cornerstone Technologies Limited (CST) has been specialising in the R&D of green energy and waste collection. In Eco Expo Asia 2016, we were one of the startups at Hong Kong Productivity Council pavilion where we showcased our first generation of EV chargers. Facing the challenges of limited resources and manpower, the event served as a shortcut for startups to link up with local property developers and property management offices. Buyers from South East Asian countries such as Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand also visited us for business exploration. In the following year, our charging systems were connected with the electric vehicles at the fairground to envision a green future for smart cities. Through participating the expo, Cornerstone concluded business deals with other exhibitors from related segments and we have been growing with them. Now we can play multiple roles in the supply chain of the green industry. This year, our company has participated in Eco Expo Asia under the separate banners of Cornerstone Renewable Energy Limited and Cornerstone EV Charging Service Limited. Our total charging solution comprising of different payment gateways, load management system and license plate recognition system are featured while our reverse vending machine is displayed respectively. Without the expo, we cannot develop a full line of businesses including EV charging management and operation services alongside other customised services. The expo also provides us with the opportunity to introduce our vision and solutions at Eco Asia Conference where visitors from a variety of backgrounds attended and our connection may translate into more businesses.”
Lawson Lau, Founder and Executive Director, Cornerstone EV Charging Service Limited, Hong Kong (Booth: 3-E27) |
