We have been exhibiting at the Autumn Lighting Fair for many years because it provides an important platform for us to meet with many buyers, to introduce our innovative technologies and new products to them and to understand more about the industry trends. This year we are highlighting our modular downlights, linear lights and arnoo app for smart home in the Hall of Aurora. We have met with new buyers from the Asia-Pacific region, Germany, Latin America, the Middle East, North America and the UK that are retailers, wholesalers or project managers. The Hall of Aurora brings together good companies and brands which attract the attention of many buyers. We are happy to be one of the exhibitors in this zone. As buyers’ responses have been encouraging, we hope to get a bigger booth next year.”

 “MEGAMAN® is a global brand in high-performance, energy-efficient lighting and an innovative leader in the use of LED with design and technology that targets the best eco-lighting solutions. We have been exhibiting in the Hall of Aurora at the Autumn Lighting Fair for many years because it provides a prime location for us to promote our MEGAMAN® brand and new products. At this year’s fair, we are excited to announce a groundbreaking LED beam shaping technology – the Dual Beam Technology (DBT), enabling luminaires to have two beam angles for users to choose from. Buyers have shown great interest in DBT because it is an innovative, patent pending technology. The number of buyers visiting our booth on the first day of this year’s fair is higher than last year. Business atmosphere has been very good. We have established connections with new buyers from the Chinese mainland, Europe and Southeast Asia.”

 “Our company is a manufacturer and wholesaler of commercial lighting and decorative lighting in Thailand. Competition is fierce and customers always need something new. I have been to both the Spring and Autumn editions of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair for many times because it is the best place for me to find new products. At this year’s fair, I have talked to more than 50 potential suppliers and I am interested in down lights and track lights which feature new designs and better efficiency. If their quality is good, I’ll buy 500-1,000 pieces per model. In addition, I am very interested in two decorative lighting brands from the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong which are found in the Hall of Aurora. I’ll consider bringing them to the Thai market. I like visiting the Hall of Aurora because I can always find some new brands.”

 “Light Pro provides all kinds of lighting products for commercial and residential projects in Russia. At the Autumn Lighting Fair, we are looking for new models for spotlights, track lights and magnetic track systems. Up till now, we have identified five to six potential suppliers. We plan to buy US$20,000 worth of spotlights and track lights, US$10,000 worth of magnetic track systems and US$5,000 worth of transparent wires from three different suppliers from the Chinese mainland. We like the Autumn Lighting Fair because it is a huge fair that brings together different lighting products and we can always find new suppliers.”

Products for the “smart home” have become the most popular and in demand category with consumers all over the world. The perspectives and viewpoints shared by the experts during the Smart Lighting Development Forum provided me (and the rest of the audiences) with a deep dive into the different protocols, explaining the pros and cons of each and revealing the latest technological breakthroughs occurring in the market on both a product level as well as OEM development. Because the smart home category is changing so rapidly, staying on top of new research and statistics is vital for understanding the business in order to relay that knowledge to customers.
 The Forum, along with the vast array of products displayed at the Fair, makes this fair a helpful resource for anyone involved in selling and buying lighting today.”

 “Our company specialises in the manufacture of LED flood lighting and sports lighting for outdoor purposes. Lighter than other models available in the market by 30% to 50%, our products feature heat controlling technology which ensures less heat generation. Last year, our distributor had participated in the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo (IOTLE) to help promote our range of outdoor lighting applications. I was present to offer on-site support. At the IOTLE, I got to know lots of buyers from different countries and regions; some from Canada and Poland have stayed in touch with me. This year, MOILL CO.,LTD is here at the IOTLE to showcase the latest energy-saving and compact model with 100 watts output for professional sports lighting. Again, we have met many buyers, and the ones from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the United Arab Emirates were introduced through the HKTDC business matching service. As its name suggests, the IOTLE is an event exclusive to outdoor lighting segment that attracts real buyers of outdoor lighting applications. I am confident that some contracts may be signed after the Expo. We also feel thankful to the HKTDC for its support at the fairground.”

 “Established in 2013, Visual Idea is a visual engineering company specialising in one-stop solutions from ideation, visual design, programming, equipment supply to installation. Our technical team has more than 20 years of experience in service support. In the past, we grew our client base by referral. However, it is our desire to expand our reach in overseas markets by introducing the transparent LED screen best for advertising, decoration and window display purposes plus the waterproof and dustproof LED curtain screen for hotels and shopping malls. As the agent of these two interesting products, we strongly believe that they are likely to become the next trend in the market. So, we have participated in the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo (IOTLE) for the first time to promote them in addition to our integrated solutions tailored to different clients.  “With a history of 19 years, we are the importer of both indoor and outdoor lighting fixtures. Our clientele includes hotels, project contractors, factories and manufacturing companies. Every year I come to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair where the quality of exhibitors is very good. Some of them are suppliers of internationally renowned brands. Through the exhibition, we have been buying products in big volume from the Chinese mainland. This year, I made my first visit to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo (IOTLE) to look for factory lighting in addition to solar based streetlights, garden lighting and other outdoor lighting applications. The HKTDC business matching team has introduced some suppliers of solar wall lighting, high bay lighting, dynamic LED lights and advertising light boxes to us. We may consider buying the SKD kits of high bay lighting and then assemble the components in our factory as the import tax of SKD kits is 5% lower than that of the finished products.”

 “Established in 1971 and headquartered in Istanbul, our company owns a factory and runs wholesale business. Over the last two decades, I have been the frequent visitor to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair where I have worked out long-term partnership with 11 regular suppliers from the Chinese mainland. I place orders with them four times every year. So far this year, I have already bought some finished products and components valued at US$600,000. This is my second time to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo (IOTLE). The 2018 edition shows marked progress in term of the quality of exhibitors. Through the HKTDC business matching arrangement at the IOTLE, I have identified some manufacturing companies that suit my needs. They offer garden lighting, modules for streetlights, CCTV systems for streetlights and some drivers. I will visit their factories after the event.”
