 “Founded in 1988, Shenzhen Hua Xin specialises in commercial printing business with production facilities in Longhua district of Shenzhen. Our products range from art-related books to catalogues, magazines, wall calendars and greeting cards. The company is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. We have been participating in the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair for many years. The fair has effectively boosted our business growth. We’ve met with many new buyers from different places such as USA, Germany and Hong Kong this year. They include sourcing agents as well as end-users in need of book printing and catalogue printing services. These buyers are the customers we go after. The response is even better than last year. We look forward to concluding business with them soon. Our MOQ is 500 pieces.”

 “Shenzhen Jinhao provides commercial printing services for customers worldwide, with products ranging from children books to magazines, catalogues and wall calendars. We are also expanding into the production of packaging items. We are taking advantage of the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to reach out to more international customers. Many buyers from Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and Europe have come forward to explore business cooperation. Most of them are looking for book printing service while some are sourcing packaging items. Talks are now being held with several buyers from Hong Kong, Australia, Czech Republic and Croatia for the printing of children books and catalogues. It may take 6 to 12 months to finalise business development. MOQ is 1,000 pieces. We are pleased with our booth’s prominent location this year, which helps attract more buyers’ attention. We will participate in the fair again next year to explore more growth opportunities.”

 “Pacificpackage is a product packaging arm of Korea’s leading beauty company Amorepacific Group that carries a long list of skincare and cosmetics brands like Laneige and Sulwahsoo. We specialise in the provision of luxury-oriented packaging items such as carton boxes and shopping bags for beauty brands. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair for the first time to source suitable equipment and materials. I’ve found some interesting products including a coil foil printing machine offered by the Chinese mainland exhibitor Silketech (Dongguan) Printing Equipment Co., Ltd. Another mainland supplier’s pulp mouldings are also quite attractive and may be used for packaging boxes or bags of skincare and beauty products. I will discuss with colleagues in Korea’s head office first before concluding deals. This is a very good fair. I am deeply impressed by the quality of service.”

 “Thumbprints is a professional printing company in Malaysia with production facilities near Kuala Lumpur. We supply a wide range of packaging boxes and bags as well as education books and children books. I am visiting the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to source packaging materials, especially FSC-certified papers that are widely used in packaging items for exports to the markets of the USA and Europe. So far, I’ve identified 10 potential suppliers from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for different kinds of papers, ribbons and holographic films. Serious talks are underway with a Chinese mainland exhibitor to purchase FSC-certified papers and recycled papers. We hope to finalise agreement within one to two months. Initial order will involve at least 5 tons, subject to clients’ requirements. Future orders can go up to 15-18 tons each. This fair has a lot on offer. I hope to come again and meet even more exhibitors.”

 “B2S is Thailand’s leading lifestyle and bookstore chain with about 100 outlets across the country. Our outlets are mainly located in Central Department Stores. Besides local and international books, we sell a great variety of stationery and lifestyle items from CDs to bags and furniture. This is our first visit to the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to source printing and packaging products. We’ve already found 3 to 4 new suppliers from Korea and the Chinese mainland for greeting cards, wrapping papers and gift bags. The greeting cards provided by a Korean exhibitor are especially appealing with good quality and nice designs. We hope to conclude an order for over 2,000 greeting cards with the Korean company in one to two months. This is an excellent sourcing platform. We will also visit the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair in Wan Chai to source some lifestyle, home décor and design-oriented items.”

 “Beijing Hongluo is a well-established producer of preserved fruits in the Chinese mainland. With a long business history, we also produce a wide range of Chinese-style pastries, dried fruits and candies. At present, we have nearly 500 different kinds of packaging for our products. I am visiting the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to find innovative items to upgrade the packaging of our products. I’ve found some innovative packaging solutions. I’m very impressed by a NFC-based function attached on packaging that enables instant connection via smartphones for consumers to access product information and for companies to collect data of consumers’ profile. Other interesting items include a packaging bag with solar power illumination effect and paper display stands. I am now in talks with several suppliers from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for these products. Orders will be subject to further negotiation. Initial order is expected to be 3,000-5,000 pieces for paper bags and 20,000-30,000 for plastic bags. This is a professionally-run event, featuring many quality exhibitors and new ideas. It proved to be a rewarding journey.”
