 “In business since 1979, TDL is a consumer electronics wholesaler serving retailers and e-commerce companies in Canada. We are going to sell to the US market soon. This is my fourth time visiting the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition). I am looking for connected home apps and devices as well as new products. So far, I have found four new suppliers which offer GPS vehicle trackers, AI robotic vacuum cleaners, WiFi cameras, and storage containers for electronic components. I have already placed with two of them for US$25,000 worth of AI robotic vacuum cleaners and US$50,000 worth of storage containers respectively. I love this fair because there are new and niche products that I cannot see at other electronics fairs and I like the quality of exhibitors here.”

I am looking for true wireless stereo earbuds, smart beam projectors and mobile accessories. Up till now, I have found five potential OEM suppliers from Hong Kong and Mainland China and they’ll send me some samples. The quantity for our first order will be 4,000 pieces.  “Today, we see an amazing development in industrial IoT with a lot of smart autonomous robots being developed and many factories adapting to 5G communication technologies. With blockchain in industrial IoT, we will get validated transaction data from the machines which will further power autonomous communication between these machines. The market potential is very big. We are talking about multi-billion dollar markets for blockchain and industrial IoT. Right now, we see some very large companies among the first adopters such as Daimler and Siemens in Germany who are building their blockchain use cases. In the future, we will see more and more adoption among small and medium-sized businesses. Facebook has its blockchain project called Libra with plans to launch own digital currency. There are also discussions among central banks about the possibility of issuing digital currency. All these have shown us that we will see a lot of decentralised finance projects, more digital money projects as well as industrial and manufacturing projects related to blockchain. This fair is a very important platform connecting people developing sensors for industrial IoT and young companies providing solutions on blockchain technology. This year, I’ve seen even more people interested in blockchain and familiar with the core technology. It’s extraordinary to see so much interest and so many people having advanced their knowledge in the technology.”

 “With 10 years of experience in IoT and five years in blockchain, Agility is really glad to be here sharing views with everyone. Crytocurrency is needed for a blockchain because you need to park everything on cryto in order to transact on blockchain. The effective way of using blockchain on the application for smart cities is to be able to have a lot of people parking a lot of data on it and then to train the blockchain to get better and become super secure. It’s like having a baby. If you put a baby in the clean room and never let the baby interact with the world, the baby is not going to get healthy. We need a use case to impact a mass amount of people. Real estate has lots of longstanding issues unsolved whereas only blockchain can come in and stir things up, allowing for better, secure and faster transaction as well as high liquidity and cross regional transaction. The platform allows for a big buyer to have a liquidity of his purchase and developers to transact properties faster. It is not just here to make business, but to train the blockchain to become a better blockchain. The value of blockchain is only created by using it. This fair enables us to come together in a very impressive venue to focus on blockchain development.
