“Established in 2006, Viet Style is a major manufacturer of printed paper bags in Vietnam. With factory premises in Ho Chi Minh City, we offer a great variety of paper bags with clients from different sectors including food, fashion and gifts. We are showcasing at Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair for the first time to increase our brand’s profile and meet more international customers. A diversity of items is on offer from basic bags to premium items for luxury goods. We’ve met with a number of buyers from different places such as Canada, Australia, Italy, Greece, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland. They are all very keen to source our products and we will provide pricing details shortly. We look forward to developing business with them soon. MOQ is 10,000 pieces. We love this fair, which can really drive our business growth. We will take up a bigger booth next year to enhance our exposure.”

“In business for 38 years, Kinta is a manufacturer of packaging products in Malaysia. We provide high quality packaging items for the medium- to high-end market. Clients spread across different sectors from cosmetics to wine and tobacco. We are making our debut appearance at Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to meet new customers looking for premium packaging items. The response has been quite encouraging. We’ve established contact with new buyers from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and overseas. We will conduct further discussions with the buyers about their requirements and design specifications to conclude business. This fair serves as a good platform to explore opportunities with both established and up-and-coming brands looking for quality packaging solutions. We expect strong packaging demand in the vast Chinese mainland market and the Hong Kong fair is the right place to facilitate our expansion. We’re pleased with the results.”
Eric Lee, Executive Director, Kinta Press & Packaging (M) Sdn Bhd, Malaysia (Booth No.: 3-B10)

“Dongguan City Ferostar specialises in the production of tin plate packaging products in the Chinese mainland. With a business history of 14 years, we operate a 12,000 square metre factory in Dongguan, providing various tin boxes for customers worldwide. We are participating in Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair for the fifth consecutive year for business expansion. Over the years, we had successfully secured new buyers through the exhibition. Many new buyers from different places including Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Australia and Italy have approached us again this year. Two Singaporean food producers and a Malaysia chocolate maker showed strong purchasing interest in particular. We are optimistic about concluding business and expect to receive large-sized orders. This fair allows us to gain more exposure internationally and enhance business relationships with customers. The De Luxe Zone really helps us raise our company profile.”
Eason Lin, Sales Manager, Dongguan City Ferostar Can Making Co., Ltd., Chinese mainland (Booth no.: 3-A17)

“In business since 2002, ZOO is a popular fashion brand for women’s casual wear and evening wear in the Philippines. Our evening wear and party dresses are especially sought after by customers. We focused on online sales for our collections at the start. We now operate a fashion store in Manila and plan to open a second shop later this year. This is our first-ever visit to the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair to source packaging products. We’ve identified five new suppliers from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for paper bags and plastic bags. They offer good quality items and will be our future suppliers for business development. We will confirm orders within three months, involving 2,000 to 3,000 paper bags and 3,000 to 5,000 plastic bags. This fair is a great place to source quality packaging products. We can find more choices, unique designs and different kinds of papers at lower prices here. The results are excellent. We really enjoyed the visit.”

“Isabelle is one the most well-known brands producing a wide range of Western biscuits as well as Chinese-style pastries and biscuits in Taiwan. We put strong emphasis on quality packaging with unique design to increase the appeal of our products and enhance our brand value. The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair has some attracting packaging items on offer. We have already found a Dongguan-based supplier from the Chinese mainland at the De Luxe Zone. Among the exhibits on offer is a well-designed packaging box with leather cover, which really suits the needs of our high-end products. An extra attraction is that the box can be used by customers as jewellery box or other purposes after the consumption of our biscuits and pastries. Further talks will be held to discuss the pricing and design specifications. Initial order is expected to involve about 5,000 pieces. We are also negotiating with some new suppliers at the fair for non-woven bags. This fair is professionally run and attracts a lot of suppliers with many packaging offers.”

“Founded in 1949, Gabee is a family-run business in Australia specialising in the design and supply of handbags, fashion accessories and luggage items under our own brands. Apart from wholesale business, we sell products online and provide various collections for corporate clients. This is my first visit to the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair for new sourcing opportunities. So far, I’ve found 5 to 10 potential suppliers from Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland for catalogue printing, paper boxes, carrying bags and packaging items for our online orders. I expect to develop business with a Chinese mainland exhibitor soon, involving the printing of about 3,000 product catalogues. This is an excellent fair drawing a lot of exhibitors and buyers, with a good variety of printing and packaging solutions on offer. Staff are very friendly and everything has been well managed.”
Monique Arnheim, Creative Director, Gabee, Australia

“At the fairground, I found many interesting packaging products. One of them is the Christmas Countdown Box showcased by Man Sang Envelope Manufacturing Co Ltd. This unique item incoporates 24 smart boxes where you can put snacks or candies inside for a countdown to Christmas. Likewise, Shanghai Art Paper Box Co., Ltd is showcasing its specially-designed products with the infusion of innovative techniques. One of their packaging boxes can be turned into a floral pattern when opened widely. The lid of the box can also be used as a stand to display the floral pattern, highlighting exquisite technique adopted by the manufacturer.
Overall, the fair serves as a very good platform for exhibitors to showcase their amazing products to international buyers and connect with new customers.”
Fumio Yoshizawa, Chief Editor, Monthly Food Packaging Japan
