 “The Cangnan County Commerce Bureau has organised the Cangnan Pavilion for the fifth consecutive year at the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair and the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair. Hong Kong provides a window for companies from Cangnan County to develop international markets. In view of good result_gifts at last year’s fairs, more companies have joined this year’s fairs. In fact, we have led the largest-ever delegation to take part_gift in the two fairs. We have more than 60 exhibitors at the Gifts & Premium Fair and more than 30 exhibitors at the Printing & Packaging Fair. In addition, we have organised a booth and a networking reception to promote the investment opport_giftunities in Cangnan County. We’ll continue to organise the Cangnan Pavilion at the two fairs because they provide the best platforms for Cangnan companies to showcase their latest products.”

 “Established in 2003, we grow hemp in Thailand and use 100-per-cent organic hemp to produce textiles, fibers and finished products. Our hemp products include bags, hats, knitwear, shoes, scarves, shawls and dolls. This is the first time that we have joined the Thailand Pavilion at the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair to showcase our hemp products. Currently, our products are export_gifted mainly to Australia, Canada and Japan because people there like natural and organic products. We want to develop the Asian market through the fair. So far, we have talked to new buyers from Europe, Hong Kong and Japan who are part_gifticularly interested in our dolls that contain no chemicals or art_giftificial colours. A Japanese buyer will visit our shop in Thailand in May to see more products and then confirm his order.”

| Hong Kong Smart_gift Design Awards |
The Hong Kong Smart_gift Design Awards, organised by The Hong Kong Export_gifters' Association, not only aims at cult_giftivating creativity and accelerating innovations among design talents but also in motivating and encouraging more Hong Kong manufactures and export_gifters to upgrade and transform their business strategy to achieve the final goal of "Design x Strategy x Technology = Smart_gift Business". This year, the Awards attracted more than 300 entries and 90 entries were awarded at the Awards Presentation Ceremony held on 16 April.

 “Our company start_gifted out as a manufacturer of bathroom accessories and PVC in 2001. We began to produce toilet seats in 2013. Europe is our main market. The Xianju County Commerce Bureau has led a delegation of more than 10 companies from Xianju County including our company to part_gifticipate in this year’s Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair. We are glad to be here for the first time because we are keen to promote our toilet seats to international buyers. Our existing European customers have buying offices in Hong Kong, so it is also good for us to meet them in Hong Kong as well. At the fair, we have met with new buyers from Europe, Hong Kong and the Middle East. A buyer from a building material supermarket in Germany has expressed his intention to place an order wort_gifth US$1 million for our toilet seats. We are happy with the result_gifts on the first day of the fair.”

 “We use our patented ETHERGRAF® tip to create a writing instrument which allows you to write with neither ink nor refills. Five years ago, we formed part_giftnerships with a famous Italian industrial designer Pininfarina, and since then, he has created a lot of new designs for our writing instruments. Currently, we have distributors in 28 countries and regions. We know that the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is reputable fair of its kind which attracts buyers from around the world. To look for new distributors especially from Southeast Asia, we have our first exhibition at this year’s fair. Up till now, we have got in touch with a lot of new buyers not only from Southeast Asia but also from other places such as Argentina, Australia, Canada, Mexico, Mongolia, New Zealand and the US. We are confident that we can find suitable distributors through the fair.”

 “In business for 20 years, my company offers a wide range of gifts for various redemption programmes. My clients include famous airlines, credit card companies and banks in Australia. This is my first time visiting the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair. I am looking for unique and new items, luxury gifts and smart_gift gifts. It is an amazing fair where I can see a lot of new items. Through the HKTDC’s business matching service, I have found six to seven potential suppliers for the supply of wireless phone chargers, beautifully designed suitcase covers, smart_gift bottles and smart_gift flash drives. I’ll present these unique gifts to my clients after the fair. It usually takes about two months for me to get the approval from my clients. With their approval, I’ll buy about 500-600 pieces per item.”

 “MACMA has more than 20 years of experience in supplying promotional gifts to advert_giftising agencies in Poland and other Eastern European countries. This is my first-time visit to the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair to look for creative and innovative products. I have identified about 15 potential suppliers which offer electronic gadgets, power banks, Bluetooth speakers and pens. I am happy to know that some of the suppliers can produce their products in customised shapes to match the logos of our customers. The new contacts made at the fair are useful for our business development. I’ll order samples first and then check their quotations. I like the Hong Kong fair because I can find a lot of suppliers, new products and new gift ideas. I’ll come again.”
